RABBITS
Rabbits
are small mammals in the family Leporiade of the order Lagomorpha, found in
several parts of the world. The
male is called a buck and the female is
a doe, a young rabbit is a kitten or kit. Rabbits have several types based on
their appearances. They are also herbivores.
Rabbits are small furry animals. The fur
is long and soft with colors such as white, black, shades of brown and grey.
They have long ears which can be more than 10 cm, are useful to detecting
predators. Rabbits eyes are round, wedge-shaped, bold and bright with colors
such as red, green, black and brown.They have large powerfull hind legs. Each
foot has five toes which colors same with body’s color. The tail is short.
Beside that, we can find many types of rabbits because of differences of their
appearance such as Dwarf Hotot, Dutch, Rex, Argente,Flemish Giant,
Beveren,Chinchila and Angora.
Rabbits are herbivores that feed by grazing on grass, and leafy weeds. In consequence,
their diet contains large amounts of celulosa, which is hard to digest. Rabbits solve this problem by
passing two distinct types of feces. First, hard droppings and soft black
viscous pellets, the latter of which are immediately eaten.
